From the Editor

In the first epistle of John, 2:18-21, he writes, "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time? But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth."

On February 4th (or 5th, depending on which side of the international dateline one lives), 1962, there was an eclipse of the sun, moon, and five planets over the middle east. The Chief Bishop of our church at that time, Brother Grady R. Kent, declared that that event marked "the Beginning of the End." Since that time we have been in an era called "the End."

As we are approaching the 37th anniversary of that stellar event, I thought to base this issue on the subject, citing some of the evidence that we are in the last days.

I would also like to welcome the newest member of our discussion group, Pari Hoxha (pronounced HO-ja). He comes to us from Albania, and has added much to our Bible studies. He has also started an Albanian edition of this newsletter, which will contain selected articles from various issues and will be published quarterly. Shown is the front page of the Winter 1999 issue, being sent out at the end of January.

This four-page introductory issue includes: "Shall He Find Faith" by Bro. C. Eldon McNabb, "Unity Through Doctrine" by Bro. Larry Danko, "In the Image of God" by Bro. David McNabb, "A Butterfly," and a "From the Editor" section by Pari Hoxha. Bro. Pari has voiced his enjoyment and edification by our studies and worship services, and I pray that his efforts to share this with the saints in Albania are fruitful.

Bro. Pari and I are also planning to publish Italian and Russian editions of The Bible Guys in the near future, as time and energy permit.
