Dear friends, it is a great pleasure to come to you again this month with the Word of God. He is truly our firm foundation: the unchanging God, bringing light into a dark world.

April 13, 2006 is Passover. In memory of the sacrifice of our Lord on the cross, we will be gathering on Sunday morning, April 16, to partake of the Lord's Supper. As we receive the unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine, we remember the body of our Savior that was broken for us, and the blood that He shed to buy our pardon, give us the strength to be overcomers in this life and the hope of life everlasting. Oh, what a Savior!

Due to an error on my part, I have been announcing our Feast of Pentecost in late May. The Feast is actually going to be June 1-4. I apologize for the confusion. We hope that many of you will be able to attend. We dedicate the Feast times to fellowship in the Word, and one with another. We will have sermons from various servants of God, and much time devoted to coming to a better understanding of God's Word, which will allow us to come ever more into the unity of the faith. So, make sure you have the right dates marked on your calendar: Thursday, June 1 through Sunday, June 4, 2006. I hope to see you there!

It is God's good pleasure that we come into the unity of the faith. It was to this end that God, by His Son Jesus, gave the gifts of the ministry: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. These gifts must be functioning in God's Church today, if we are to come to that unity, and be presented to our Lord as a glorious Church, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.

God is calling us all to quit playing church, and to pursue righteousness and true holiness. He gave His Son to die on Calvary so that we could be reconciled to Him, and enabling us to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world.

This is the goal, and it is an attainable goal: "If God permit."
