Sovereign America

By C. Eldon McNabb

Florida has the distinction of being the first place on the North American continent where the Europeans began efforts to colonize. It was Ponce de Leon who made the first effort to do so in 1521. Other unsuccessful efforts were made in 1528, 1539, and 1559. In 1562 Jean Ribaut, with a band of French Huguenots, landed near St. Augustine, and claimed the country, on the behalf of France. In 1564 another party of Huguenots established Fort Caroline. Then, on August 28, a Spanish expedition, under the command of Pedro Menendez de Aviles, arrived in the Bay of St. Augustine, and slaughtered them all, according to his words, “not as Frenchmen but as Lutherans.”

Menendez then founded a settlement which he named St. Augustine. It was not until 1763, Spain finally ceded Florida to England. Even then the Spaniards continued to fight the Protestant Americans until the treaty of 1819. It had certainly not been ideal conditions in which the Gentile Church could rise to its prophetic destiny. Finally, the power of the scourge of Papal persecution of Christianity, which Protestant Christianity had fled Europe to escape, had been officially driven from the shores of America.

Other European colonies began to be established in North America in the early 1600s. On May 14, 1607, an expedition of the British “London company,” landed at Jamestown, Virginia and began to effect the establishment of many plantations along the James River. In 1609, the boundaries of the new “country” were set.

The first colony formed in what is now Massachusetts was at Plymouth in 1620. Some religious refugees, having fled from England to the Netherlands, eventually decided to migrate to the Virginia colony. Owing to some unknown causes, the colonists landed in Massachusetts instead of the Virginia colony. The pure democracy thus inaugurated and later modified was accidental.

New Hampshire, followed Massachusetts in 1623, New Jersey in 1623, New York in 1624, Delaware in 1631, Connecticut in 1633, Pennsylvania in 1643, Carolina in 1653 (the two Carolinas separated in 1712), Maryland in 1663, and Vermont in 1724.

Georgia was the last of the colonies formed, and that by the government of England. The first settlement was established in 1733, to protect South Carolina from invasion by the Spaniards from Florida, and as a refuge for the persecuted Protestant sects, and for the unfortunate, but worthy, indigent classes of England.

As England gradually took over the colonies, they burdened them heavily by the imposition of excessive taxes. I am sure they needed the money, as England itself was staggering under the iron fist of the World Bankers of that day.

Eventually the colonies rebelled, and effectively became independent of England, as well as freeing themselves from the oppression of the London Bankers. Most of the colonies had begun their existence with money borrowed from the wealthy in Europe. How true the words of the Holy Scriptures: “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”

Whatever the cause of the American Civil War, it was President Lincoln’s refusal to borrow from the World Bank which allowed the country to retain its financial, and therefore political strength in the aftermath of that war. Instead of borrowing from them, as did the Confederate States of America, he began to print the famed U.S “greenbacks;” which may well be the real reason he was assassinated.

The prophet Joel, speaking for God, had said, “I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” Accordingly, by the end of the Civil War, the industrial revolution was well underway.

The prophet went on to say, “And also on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.” This prophecy began to be fulfilled, as a great religious revival began in America. It was specifically for that reason God had raised up the U.S.A. in the “New World.” Many prophecies concerning God’s Church, and the emergence of a great nation which would be able to unite the nations of the world for a time, had yet to be fulfilled.

The westward movement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ had stalled in Europe, but the prophetic declaration of Jesus, in Matthew 24:27, had to be fulfilled. Jesus said, “As the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” There were many prophecies which had to be fulfilled in the Western Hemisphere, and the time had come for the manifestation of those things.

In about 1780, in England, the Wesley brothers came to understand the very important doctrine of Sanctification of the spirit, and it had great impact upon Christianity in America, in the 1800s. In 1896 God made His next move in the spiritual realm when He poured out His Holy Spirit upon a “Sanctified” group of saints in Cherokee county, N. Carolina. In a relatively short revival, approximately 130 of the saints had received the Baptism with the Spirit, and within a few years the movement had spread to several other places around the world; including Missouri, Illinois, California, Arkansas, Paris, etc.

It took only 48 years, from the assassination of Pres. Lincoln in 1865, to the administration of Pres. Woodrow Wilson in 1913, for the world bankers to devise a way to, finally, regain control of the wealth of America. President Wilson handed it to them in the form of the Federal Reserve. Today our debt to the World Bank is far into the trillions, and the sovereignty of the nation is threatened by that alone.

But there is more. Since 1946, high officials in the United States government have systematically sold out this country to the United Nations. These two things have brought us back to the brink of the slaughter of Christianity which those first French Lutherans faced at the hands of Rome’s “religious” nations. However, today we are facing another enemy which will be even more fierce, and that with the consent of the United Nations: itself an entity which is full of all iniquity, and idolatry, as well as great animosity against Christianity.

It is the G-Ten, of the U.N. which will soon fulfill the prophecy in Rev. 17:12-14, and begin to go to “war with the lamb, and those that are with him.” But it is the lamb which shall win that battle, and they shall turn in their anger and hatred, and shall destroy Roman Catholicism. Of course, that will not be enough to suit them, so they will proceed to attempt to destroy Christianity from the face of the Earth. Of course they will not be able to completely destroy it, because God will destroy the U.N. before it can achieve that goal. That is what the prophecy in the allegory of Noah is really about.

How can they persecute Christianity to such a terrible extent? The Day of the Lord is upon us, of which day Amos showed us, in Amos 5:18-20, that Christians would be looking toward it with expectation, but that it would not be a good thing for Christians. He said, “Woe unto you that desire the Day of the Lord! To what end is it for you? (for Christians) the Day of the Lord is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the Day of the Lord be darkness and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?”

In Revelation 13:10, God told John, “He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” It makes one wonder if President Bush will be the first American to suffer at the hands of the World Court, since it was he who led us into a position of subjugation to it in 2005. His enemies would certainly like to see something like that happen.

The United States government has been steadily leading us into the snare of the U.N. since 1946, and perhaps earlier. In 1964, in harmony with all that is the U.N., the Supreme Court made it a crime to pray, or read the Bible in the public schools. Very soon now, our government will begin to increase their censorship of Christianity. The first major attack should take place at the beginning of 2007, fulfilling the prophecy in Daniel 8:9-11, and 12:11. He said, “A little horn (shall) magnify himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice (shall be) taken away.” That is a prophecy of the United States government severely curtailing the liberty of Christian activities, and will be the beginning of the implementation of a policy which will ultimately outlaw Christianity in America altogether.

The overspreading of abominations: God has every intention of allowing that “Little Horn” in the book of Daniel to inflict serious damage to the Christian community. As I showed above, that is what the Day of the Lord is about. God sometimes uses the term “the abomination that makes desolate.” That is particularly applicable to, and prophetic of, what happened to the nation of Israel when God used the death of Jesus to void the “ten commandments” which were His marriage covenant with them (Rom. 7:1-7). The nation of Israel became desolate at the death of Jesus on the cross, and has never again been called “Beulah” (married).

Within the next seven years, when the “Church” had reached its fullness, God “married” It. That is what prompted the great filling with the Holy Ghost, and the marvelous events which followed it, which are recorded in Acts 4:31 – 5:42. Later, in 2 Cor. 11:2, Paul said, “I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”

That era came and went, and now God is raising up a Gentile Church which shall soon thereafter be married to the Lord. In addition to that, a group of Jews must become the counterpart to that Gentile group which was grafted in, in the first century of the Grace Age. All of this in the fulfillment of the allegory of Jacob and his four: Leah, and Zilpah her handmaid, and Rachel, and Bilhah, her handmaid.

The abominations of the nation of Israel had become pandemic, and, by forcing the crucifixion of Jesus, they became the perpetrators of the “abomination that maketh desolate,” thereby incurring the wrath of God which was poured out upon them in A.D. 70. Daniel put it this way, “For the overspreading of abominations, He shall make it desolate (without a husband), even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate” (Dan. 9:27). Even so Israel was “desolate” for 30 to 37 years before God executed His sentence upon them.

Anyone who has kept abreast of the news in the last couple of months must know how fully that Gentile Christianity has emulated the abominations of Israel of old. Whether Catholic or Protestant; all of Christianity is filled with all manner of sins of the flesh, and boldly flaunt their sins. And, those among them who do not actually commit all of those abominations, but “take pleasure in them that do them,” will suffer with them.

Because of this present “overspreading of abominations,” God is now preparing to bring upon Gentile Christianity the curse of Romans 2:4-11. Paul said, “Despisest thou the riches of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; who will render to every man according to his deeds: to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: but unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; but glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: for there is no respect of persons with God.”

The desolation of Gentile Christianity will begin in early January, 2007, and her punishment will be consummated by late September, 2010. In the meantime, God will be separating unto Himself a “holy nation” which will consist of those dedicated saints who have been “sighing and crying” for all of those abominations, by which modern Christianity is bringing shame upon the God, and His wonderful way.

It is high time that we wake up, and search the scriptures. We need to stir up our pure minds and say with that multitude who were listening to Peter’s sermon on the day that the Holy Ghost was first poured out upon God’s people, “Men and brethren, what shall we do? Are you ready to meet the Bridegroom? It is high time that we get busy, and search the Scriptures to find out what it is that we must do to satisfy the will of God for today, and go in to the wedding before the door is shut.
