Praise the Lord! He has done so much for us and has proven himself over and over again. We truly have a wonderful friend in Jesus.

Summer is swiftly coming to an end, and thoughts of parents and children turn to school. Sadly, events of the last few years have caused many to worry about the safety of their little ones as they bundle them up and send them off. The episode at Columbine during the last school year was a tragedy that sent chills down the spine of every American.

We, as Christians, however, have great hope and trust in our God. He is our Saviour, and our refuge in the time of trouble. He has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Praise God that we don’t have to live in fear of the world, for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

We ask the Father to put a hedge about us and our children, not only to keep them from physical harm, but from the spiritual and mental harm that the enemy would perpetrate on them in the schools. The only thing that will save our children is a love for God and His word, and a personal relationship with Him through His son, Jesus Christ. Oh, that the zeal for God would ignite in the hearts of Christian youth from coast to coast! Then we would see ‘the spirit of fear,’ not in the hearts of God’s people, but in the hearts of those who would steal our children’s innocence and pollute their minds with sin and lies. There is going to be a revival in these last days. A revival where believers will cease from their ways of compromise and nonchalance, and get on fire in service for the one who has redeemed them by His blood

The year 2000 is rapidly approaching, and next year’s Strangers and Pilgrims calendar will be coming out shortly. In this month’s Newsletter, you will find an advance order form. The cost this year has been increased to $7.50, which just covers printing and postage. We would appreciate it, if you would mail in your order promptly.

I trust that those of you with internet access are visiting the website often, as we are always updating and adding to it. More things are in the works, and will be available soon at our site, so check it out.

Don’t forget that the Feast of Ingathering is coming up September 23-26. We will be celebrating this feast of the Lord with nightly worship services Thursday through Saturday, and on Sunday morning. We will also be in Bible discussions morning and afternoon Friday and Saturday. You are all welcome to attend and participate. Anyone from out of town who would like to attend can contact us to make lodging arrangements. I am anticipating another blessed feast.

God bless you all!
